Coping with Stress

Coping with stress refers to the use of healthy, intentional strategies to manage pressure, regulate emotional responses, and maintain mental balance. Effective coping allows individuals to approach difficulties calmly and thoughtfully, protecting both psychological and physical health.

Researcher Hans Selye identified stress as the body’s natural reaction to external demands. Although temporary stress may improve alertness and performance, prolonged stress can disrupt emotional stability and overall well-being. Developing adaptive coping skills is therefore essential.

These interactive approaches promote resilience and emotional regulation.
